I was searching the International Society of Appraisers website for a Fine Arts Appraiser for my 1861 oil painting and came upon Mr. Robert Clark who happened to live in the same town as myself – a local “Brunswickian” as we are called. Mr. Clark took the time to walk us through the process and make sure we knew what to expect. Mr. Clark’s appraisal report covered his in-depth investigation and told the incredible story of the painting’s history and artist’s personal journey from Germany to France, Italy, and the United States. Mr. Clark’s detail and overall presentation were top notch and very knowledgeable. I could not recommend Robert Clark more highly. Not only is he professional, knowledgeable and extremely thorough, but also exceptionally personable.

Robert Clark was recommended by the Washington County Arts community for appraising fine art. His appraisal report covered several of my original pieces ranging from Alaskan-native work to American-born, Canadian, Peruvian, and Chinese works. This comprised prints, paintings, and sculpture. Mr. Clark’s depth of investigation, accuracy of values, and overall presentation were truly done with integrity. I highly recommend engaging his advice.

I worked with Bob to successfully enhance the technology team and services at Buchanan Street while maintaining a tight operating budget. His insight and leadership eliminated interdepartmental barriers and advanced the effectiveness of the technology and finance teams.

I’ve known Robert for over 15 years both internally at AEGON and as a Borrower. He is a multi-talented individual, both personally and professionally. He’s very easy to get along with and knows how to get the job done.
